Join Dr. Gabby Headrick, PhD, MSPH, RDN, IFSAN Associate Director of Food and Nutrition Policy, on Monday, March 30, 2026, as she leads a panel discussion with experts in food and nutrition communications. A Recipe for Truth: Identifying & Tackling Food & Nutrition Misinformation will be held in the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health, beginning at 10 a.m. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required because space is limited.

In the Information Age, fact-based messages easily can become entangled with inaccuracies. Sometimes the messenger does that on purpose, and sometimes it is a genuine mistake. These misleading and false messages influence health policy and laws. They can influence individuals' choices. They might even sway seasoned experts.

These are all reasons for you to learn as much as you can about identifying and responding to mis- and disinformation. IFSAN is here to help.

Join IFSAN Associate Director of Food and Nutrition Policy Dr. Gabby Headrick on March 30, 2026, at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health. A cohort of food policy student scholars joined IFSAN leaders at the Consumer Federation of America’s National Food Policy Conference.

Students participated in a food policy idea salon with students from Baylor University and professionals from Nestlé. They also saw IFSAN leader Barbara Kowalcyk and faculty Katya Cronin participate in panel discussions during the event.

Additionally, all event participants were treated to Helena Bottemiller Evich interviewing U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary.
