How to build a balanced plate:

1. Fill 1/2 your plate with vegetables đŸ„—

I’m sure you’ve heard someone say before not to eat these foods.

The reason people believe this is usually for 2 reasons:

1ïžâƒŁ They don’t have any actual knowledge on how nutrition works
2ïžâƒŁ Eliminating foods/food groups feels like a ✹magic pill✹ “Just do this 1 thing and you’ll reach your goals!” 🙄

Is too much of any of these foods a bad thing? Well yes, if your goal is to lose weight and you’re eating more calories than your body needs. This goes for ANY food.

Notice that these foods are all carbohydrate foods. Carbohydrates tend to get a bad rap these days. We won’t get into why you NEED carbs today (that’s another topic itself), but fruit, bread, and pasta are all perfectly acceptable forms of carbohydrates.

Do not listen to people who tell you not to eat them.

Find people who will show you how to incorporate them (and other delicious foods) into your diet while still reaching your goals.
