Charitable Healthcare Network Our mission is to strengthen and ensure high-quality health care for people who are vulnerable.

Charitable Healthcare Network is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do not provide direct health care services on-site, but support those who do and can provide a referral to a health clinic. Free clinic services vary, but may include: primary care, prescription assistance, dental, vision, behavioral health, and other specialties. Using cost-effective strategies, such as in-kind services and donations of health care resources and time, free clinics provide for the health care needs of their patients. These strategies mean that every dollar invested in free clinics brings nearly $10.00 in care for patients. Free clinics provide access to care for many who find themselves temporarily unemployed or unable to obtain employer-based health insurance.

What a great way to wrap up our Fall Regional Meetings! đź’™
Our Northeast Ohio leaders brought thoughtful conversation, new ideas, and plenty of examples of the incredible work happening across the region. We’re thankful to everyone who joined us and shared their time and expertise. These conversations are an important part of learning from one another and moving our shared work forward.

Today, we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day and honor the histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities. In observance of the holiday, the CHN office is closed today.

Indigenous communities have deep and enduring connections to Ohio and continue to strengthen our communities in countless ways.

At CHN, we believe access to high-quality health care is essential to the health and well-being of every community. Today is an opportunity to recognize the importance of listening, learning, and working toward greater health equity and access for all.

🧠💙 Mental health is health and access to mental health care matters.

On World Mental Health Day, we’re recognizing the importance of making mental and behavioral health care accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Across Ohio, free and charitable healthcare organizations are helping connect people with the care, support, and resources they need because no one should have to face a mental health challenge without support.

Our Southwest Regional Meeting brought together our clinic leaders, collaboration, and conversation around the work happening in our communities. We also had the opportunity to tour the CHN Medication Access Program facility at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati and see firsthand how we’re turning excess into access and helping provide prescription medications to people who might otherwise go without.

A special thank you to SVDP Charitable Pharmacy for hosting us, and to the Cardinal Health Foundation for supporting CHN MAP in partnership with SVDP and helping make this important work possible.

Together, we’re strengthening access, collaboration, and care across Ohio.
