Congrats to ONA's Lima Memorial Professional Nurses Association (LMPNA), which voted by a 2-to-1 margin to ratify a new contract!

The new contract language addresses issues important to LMPNA members, including wage, charge differential, and on-call pay increases; keeping insurance costs reasonable; and adjustments to policies governing internal transfers.

Thank you to the members of the LMPNA Bargaining Team for all your work, and congratulations to all LMPNA members on the ratification of this new agreement!

Since OSUMC let its incentive pay program expire, charge nurses have had full assignments and beds have been closed.

If only someone had warned them this would happen.

Oh wait. We did.

Since IP expired, Charge Nurses in the James have been consistently in full assignments. Beds that were closed are reopening and nursing leadership's response to the nurses who ask what the staffing plan is, have been met with "well you voted for this"

OSUNO has been ready to return to the table but OSU continues to gaslight our nurses and push alternative facts about their program being more flexible for nurses.

We deserve better, and most of all, our patients deserve better.

On Indigenous Peoples Day, it is important we remember that Indigenous people continue to face vast health disparities, including lower life expectancy and higher rates of chronic illness.

Today is World Mental Health Day, intended to raise awareness, fight social stigma, and mobilize support for mental health care.

Mental health *is* health, and all healthcare is a human right.
