Most people don’t sign up for Reiki 1 because they already understand energy. They sign up because they’re curious about what they’ve been noticing and ready to experience Reiki for themselves.

Curiosity is always welcome here. In Reiki 1, you’ll begin learning what energy feels like, how it moves and how to work with it for yourself, other people and even your pets. You’ll receive four individualized attunements and have plenty of time to practice, ask questions and receive guidance in a small class of no more than six students.

You’ll also explore meditation, intuition, affirmations, connecting with Guides, clarifying your goals and the role meaning and purpose can have in your life. This is where Reiki begins becoming more than something you have heard about. It begins becoming a practice that is personal to you.

You’ll leave with detailed materials to return to at home, and you’ll still have a community here when new questions come up or you’re ready to keep learning.

In Releasing Ghosts, Spirit Attachments, Psychic Attacks and Other Scary Things, Linda Haley will bring these topics into an open, grounded conversation. The day offers space to learn, ask direct questions and explore how to approach difficult energetic experiences with greater awareness, discernment and care.

People sometimes ask why our Reiki classes take longer than others they have seen. The answer is simple: there is a lot we want you to leave knowing, and even more we want you to leave having experienced.

At The Reiki Center, certification is not about moving through information as quickly as possible. We teach the Traditional Reiki method developed by Mikao Usui in 1921, with small classes that give students time to ask questions, receive individual guidance and practice with a teacher nearby.

Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 each include four individualized attunements. Students also explore energy flow, chakras, meditation, intuition, Guides, affirmations, emotional and physical energy awareness, meaning and purpose. These are not side topics. They are part of developing a fuller understanding of Reiki and your own relationship with the practice.

And when class ends, you still have a community here. Reiki Shares, review classes, continuing education and the Reiki Internship Program give you places to keep practicing and growing.

Channeling for yourself and channeling for another person ask different things of you.

Channeling 2 is designed to help students deepen their practice and understand what changes when they begin receiving and sharing messages for someone else. With guidance from Mary Jo Burkhardt, you will explore how to align your energy, stay connected to your own heart and identity, and communicate what you receive with greater confidence and care.

There will be plenty of room to practice, ask questions and work through the parts of channeling that can only really be understood through experience.

You know that moment when you finally sit down and realize how tired you actually are? Sometimes our bodies have been carrying tension for so long that we barely notice it anymore.

CranioSacral Therapy is one of the ways we support the whole person at The Reiki Center. Using very light touch, your practitioner creates space for your body to slow down, settle and release some of what it has been holding. Each session takes place in a private, calm setting and is shaped around what you need that day.

Some people become deeply relaxed or fall asleep. Others talk, notice different sensations or take a little more time to settle in. There is no right way to experience your session, and you do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you need.

Students have time to ask questions, practice together and become comfortable with what they are learning. Classes are limited to six students, which allows for individual guidance and a real relationship with your teacher.

Reflexology is based on the understanding that specific zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands correspond with different areas of the body. Through intentional pressure and technique, reflexology can support relaxation, help release tension and encourage greater balance throughout the body.

In this two-day class, Kaye Smith will introduce the foundations of foot reflexology and help students begin conducting thoughtful, effective sessions with others. You’ll have time to learn, practice and ask questions as you begin developing a new hands-on skill.

There is so much to explore in the way energy, sacred space, symbols and consciousness connect.

In Sacred Geometry 1, Reiki Center practitioner Scott Mathis introduces teachings from the Modern Mystery School that help students better understand the energetic and spiritual principles of geometry. You’ll explore ways to create sacred space, strengthen your connection to the Divine and work more intentionally with the energy around you.

Students who complete Sacred Geometry 1 can continue into Astral Travel 1, where Scott shares tools for safely expanding awareness beyond the physical body. The class includes guidance for preparing yourself and your space, traveling in accordance with Sacred Law and exploring beyond the physical world with greater intention.
