Apple picking in Ohio, dessert in Italian. 🇮🇹🍎

This week’s Make Sundays Italian Again: torta di mele made with olive oil and apples we picked as a family.

A homemade cake, coffee on the table, and the kids asking if they can have another slice. A Sunday tradition I’m very happy to keep.

Some families have end-of-summer traditions. Ours involves 100 lbs of tomatoes, a garage, homemade w**e and everyone yelling over each other. 🇮🇹🍅

Tomato day: when we can enough tomatoes to make Sunday sauce all year long.

Because somehow, sauce made in January just tastes better when the tomatoes came from a day like this.
