Peace and War Family,
Yall, I've have been trying to figure out exactly how I wanted to write this, because I didn't want this to simply be another “thank you to our sponsor” post. Yes, this one right here, means something to BIGGER than any words I type here.
I want to give the BIGGEST hug and shoutout to Krystal Alkaline Doula, The Goddess, CEO of The Goddess Collection, for stepping forward as our 2026 Village Guardian Sponsor of Rooted in Love: A Garden Baby Shower Experience and continuing to believe in the mission and work of Cherishing Life Beginnings.
Krystal has been constant in my life for almost a decade. One of the things that makes this moment so special for me is that I've had the opportunity to watch her journey from long before the success, recognition, money, and all of the things people may see when they look at The Goddess Collection today. I've watched this woman experience hardships, face challenges, grow through them, and somehow take those experiences and turn them into something beautiful. She has created healing from loss, pain, and her own personal challenge, turned opportunity from adversity, wealth from vision, and most importantly, she has never lost her ability to pour love back into other people.
And when I say this woman HEALS, I mean that. Her work isn't just about selling herbs or products. There is something very intentional about the way Krystal pours into people, shares what she knows, encourages others, and uses what she has built to help somebody else along the way. I've watched her evolve by leaps and bounds into the woman she is today, and I have admired her journey more than she probably even realizes.
That's why calling her The Goddess has always felt fitting to me. It isn't just a name or a brand. I've watched her grow into it.
What makes her sponsorship of Rooted in Love so meaningful is that Krystal has always supported me, too. She believes in what I'm building, she believes in my mission, and she understands that when I talk about rebuilding the village around mothers and babies, this isn't just an event for me. This is my life's work. To have someone you respect and admire look at something you've poured your heart into and say, in her own way, “I see you. I believe in this. I'm going to help you do it,” means more than I can put into words.
Krystal, your sponsorship isn't just helping us put on a beautiful baby shower. Your support is going directly into creating an experience where mothers can walk into a garden and know that somebody thought about them, somebody prepared for them, somebody invested in them, and somebody believes they deserve to be surrounded by resources, love, dignity, education, and community. That is what Rooted in Love is about.
So today, I just want to give my girl her flowers. 💐 I want to publicly honor the woman, the healer, the entrepreneur, the visionary, and the beautiful spirit behind The Goddess Collection.
Krystal, I love you, I admire you, I appreciate you, and I thank you for continuing to support me and believe in the work that God and the ancestors have placed in my hands. Thank you for using what you have built to pour into what I am building. Thank you for showing up for our mothers and babies. Thank you for being part of this village.
