THERAPY THURSDAY: Swing Into Development! 🎢

Swinging is pure joy - and pure therapy! This simple activity works on so much:
✨ Vestibular input (movement and balance)
✨ Core strength and stability
✨ Body awareness and coordination
✨ Sensory regulation (calming or alerting)
✨ Motor planning (pumping legs, holding on)

Parent tip: Swinging can be calming for some kids and alerting for others - pay attention to how your child responds! Back-and-forth motions tend to calm, while spinning or fast swinging can energize. Playground time = therapy time!

THERAPY THURSDAY: Shape Up Those Skills! ✏️

Copying shapes is preparing this little one for writing! When kids practice drawing shapes, they're working on:
✨ Fine motor control and pencil grip
✨ Hand-eye coordination
✨ Visual motor integration (eyes guiding hands)
✨ Pre-writing skills
✨ Focus and attention
✨ Following visual models

Parent tip: Start with simple shapes (circle, line) and progress to harder ones (square, triangle, diamond). Use different tools - crayons, chalk, finger paint, or even tracing in sand! Making it fun keeps them engaged.
