Today we’re celebrating a HUGE milestone, 25 years of Betsy at A Step Ahead!

We are thankful that Betsy chose to dedicate and share her talents as an Occupational Therapist with the children and families of A Step Ahead. She has helped countless little ones reach milestones, cheered them on, supported families, and made a difference through the work she does every day.

✨Therapy Thursday✨

Our new kitchen and dining area gives our therapists and clients a space to practice skills in a natural, everyday setting from communication and social interaction to feeding and independence. And sometimes, it’s simply a great place to sit, eat, chat, and enjoy time together. 🥰

We love all the ways our new clinic allows us to make therapy feel a little more like everyday life!

🖤💛 Celebrating 26 Years of A Step Ahead! 💛🖤

Today, A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy celebrates 26 years of serving children and families!

In 2000, Lisa Wagers, a physical therapist, and Teresa Rodgers, a nurse, founded A Step Ahead with a shared vision of creating a place where children could grow, families could feel supported, and dedicated professionals could make a meaningful difference.

Twenty-six years later, that vision has grown in more ways than they could have imagined. We’ve expanded into new communities, opened and grown clinics, and welcomed dedicated team members who bring many different areas of expertise to the children and families we serve!

Today, A Step Ahead remains something we are especially proud of: a family-owned and women-led business! Lisa and Teresa continue the family legacy they began 26 years ago alongside Clinical Director Jessica (Wagers) Danielsons. With a strong background in pediatric therapy, Jessica brings her own experience and perspective while helping carry forward the legacy her mom, Lisa, and aunt, Teresa, began more than two decades ago💛

While a lot has changed in 26 years, the heart of A Step Ahead remains the same. Thank you to every child, family, team member, and community that has been part of our story. Here’s to 26 years of growth, milestones, steps forward and all the steps still ahead!✨
