“Hey babe, what if instead of tv tonight…”

A simple invitation that has become a regular practice.

We turn on some music, put the dogs in the other room and tune into our own body cues, breath and any tension we’ve been carrying.

No reps. No performance. Just presence.

Stillness.

The space for our nervous systems to soften, and let the co-regulation that naturally occurs when we tap into our bodies flow without resistance.

Send this to the person you want to co-regulate with.

When you happen upon a field of passion flowers…

When you’re frolicking through a clearing with your nature bestie and talking about depression, and come upon a GIANT field of passion flowers…

Coincidence? I think not.

What can I say?

Sometimes I just need to get away from the world and park myself in a body of water somewhere and take some deep breaths.

I’ll come back much happier and more agreeable, I promise!

Anybody else?

Take this moment to come back to yourself…

The tools you always have access to.

Breath. Presence. Stillness.

In a world that prioritizes performance, a few moments of peace can go a long way.

Now go create the change and be the impact. <3

We have to approach everything differently…

From strength training, to endurance, to recovery, those of us with extra flexy joints often need to make adjustments.

“Traditional” fitness culture, here in the US at least, prioritizes external performance and PR’s over listening and responding to the internal felt sense of the body.

This is why so many of us wind up with injuries before we even know we are hypermobile, chronic tension in the joints that used to be the most flexible, and a relationship with movement that is built on fear, shame and comparison.

Here at the Mirror Impact, women are developing greater body awareness and neuromuscular coordination.

Empowered with the tools, practices and pattern shifts that allow the body and nervous system to settle back into their natural rhythms and cycles.

If these sound like health habits and wellness rituals you could get behind, be sure to follow along and check out ways to stay connected via the link in my bio.

When friends send you home with garden gatherings…

It's not about always being calm…

It's also not in a constant state of survival.

A healthy nervous system can dance between the two with poise and control, knowing how to settle back into a regulated state.💃

If you want to begin expanding your nervous system flexibility and start weaving regulation practices into your daily life, you're in the right place.

Restriction to Restoration 🙌

I spent the first half of my life fearing food.

Restrictive diets, disordered eating, extreme weight loss trends and meeting my ever- growing list of food sensitivities with more fear and restriction…

No wonder my gut and nervous system were operating in complete chaos!

I was so focused on forcing my body into submission, never stopping to think that that was the very thing sending my body into a spiral of stress and anxiety with every meal and every workout.

It wasn't until I shifted my focus and behaviors, forcing less and flowing more, actually listening to and responding to my body cues instead of ignoring them to meet a calorie or rep range.

Restoring my body to its natural rhythms didn't happen overnight, but the victory over the dysfunction and dysregulation that once consumed me will last a lifetime.

If you're ready to make this powerful shift in your healing journey, comment SHIFT below or schedule your free consultation with me via the link in my bio.

Awaken the whole spine with this fascial flow.

To perform this movement:

- Move incredibly slow – the slower the better
- Focus on breath to movement, breathing into the space you are creating in your body
- Pay attention to the subtle sensations that surface and always listen to your body.
- The fingers laced behind the head are meant to assist in the stretch, not force the body into anything it isn't ready for

Aim for 5-8 rounds of this movement.
Open and close with grounding, nasal breath and gratitude.

Enjoy!

Here’s the real reason…

1. They prioritize quality over calories → more of what your body needs (fiber, protein, healthy fats, fresh veggies) and less of the crap it doesn’t. It’s that simple.

2. Cooking + connection = co-regulation → intentional conversation over the creation of a meal provides more benefits for your mental health, while you whip up something that nourishes your physical health.

3. They are all about balance: eating with intention instead of excess → not cutting food groups or replacing one thing for another while packing full of preservatives.

In a culture constantly chasing the next fad diet, juice cleanse or social-media trend…

How can we use this ancient way of eating – one that has always prioritized intentional nourishment and lifestyle management over calorie restriction – as a compass?
