How much time is your team REALLY spending on sterilization? 👀

In Part 2 of my Miele article, I’m taking a closer look at something practices don’t always measure: employee time and handling.

It’s easy to focus on how long a machine runs, but what about the time spent loading, unloading, rinsing, inspecting, sorting and repeating the process?

Reducing hands-on time can mean fewer touchpoints, more consistency and getting your dental team back chairside sooner! And that could mean more patients being seen.

I break down the questions practice leaders should be asking when evaluating their instrument reprocessing workflow, including where automation may help remove unnecessary steps.

OSHA training: gone wrong 👀Sometimes, you just have to roll with it. 😂

Right before one of my presentations, the power went out. No lights, no presentation screen, no idea when everything would be back up.

But there was a room full of dental professionals waiting to learn, so we did what we do in healthcare when things don't go according to plan:

We adapted.
No fancy technology. No perfect setup. Just conversation, education, questions, and a room full of people who were ready to learn.

And honestly, it was a great reminder that the best education isn't always about the presentation itself. It's about making the information practical, connecting with your audience, and being able to think on your feet when things don't go as planned.

The lights eventually came back on, but the learning never stopped. ⚡️
