We just had to share!

We are excited to share that we have relocated to our new location at 146 N. Dickason Blvd in Columbus!

While we still have to finish a few things within the space, we are fully up and running!

We are also excited to announce that our Massage Therapist, Abbey, is now full time at the salon! To book an appointment with her, please go to poshsalonspawi.com (http://www.poshsalonspawi.com) and choose the Massage tab to be directed to her online schedule.

Finally, starting mid July, we will be offering Permanent Make-Up services. This will include Brows, Eyeliner and Lips!

Posh Salon & Spa is moving to a new location! We would also like to introduce you to our new Massage Therapist, Abbey!

As some of you already know, we are moving the salon to a new location sometime between the end of May and the first week of June. When we have an exact date, we will be sure to let you know! Our new location address is 146 N. Dickason Blvd., Columbus. For reference, we will be right next door to what used to be Cerci’s.

In addition to a new location, we have a new Massage Therapist! We are so excited to introduce Abbey to you all. She is currently accepting appointments at our current location. While in the process of transitioning from her current location to our salon, she will have available appointments a few days a week as well as every other Saturday. Once we move to our new location, Abbey will be available exclusively at Posh Salon & Spa. She does have a flexible schedule, so if you do not see anything available, we encourage you to reach out to her by calling 608.515.8948. Abbey is absolutely amazing and we are thrilled to have her join us!

With our move to a new location, there are going to be lots of things changing and services added. While we are very excited to settle into our new space, we will be missing Amy very much, as she has decided to stay at our current location. We are so glad that she will only be 1/4 of a block away so being able to see her for a visit will be very easy. Amy has taught me so much since I started my business and has been an amazing friend that I will cherish forever.

Have you seen the posts about “Pop On Nails or Dashes?” These posts are suggesting that you ditch salon nails and their prices to save you time and money. I have seen them over and over again and have had to stop myself from commenting on the post as I may personally know the person or have friends that have tried these nails.

I have decided to not stay quiet and tell you the truth! Below is a picture of someone I personally know that decided to give these nails a try due to her incredibly busy schedule and not being able to get to the salon as often as she would like. This is the damage that these less expensive and easy to apply and remove nails do to your natural nail.

The most important process of any nail service, whether it be a gel polish manicure, nail enhancements such a acrylic, or even just regular polish, is the nail prep BEFORE anything is applied to the natural nail. As trained and licensed professionals, we know what needs to be done to your nails to protect them against everything that is going on with the nails pictured below. This poor girl will have months of healing before she will have any sort of nail to even give a basic manicure on.

The removal of these nails (and she followed the directions on proper removal) has taken off several layers of her natural nail, are so thin that there are vertical tears down the entire free edge of the nail, because the glue used to apply these nails is not professional grade glue, moisture has been trapped between the natural nail and the glue, causing the beginning stages of mold on her natural nail.

I get that people are busy and that having an extra hour or two to go to the salon to get your nails done may be difficult, but if you want to have nice nails, there is nothing wrong with you carving out time in your schedule for self care. Treat yourself to a professional nail service! You deserve it! You are also supporting a small, local business when you do so!

A huge thank you to all that stopped by the Holiday Open House this Saturday!!! It was amazing to see all of you. Your support over the last 5 years has been so appreciated and truly humbling. Even more appreciated is the support you all have shown for Jeromy Toutant by entering the raffle we had for he and his family. We raised $1600 thanks to all of you.

The winner for the raffle is Jodi Ballweg!!!! Congrats Jodi! We will reach out to you this week to make arrangements for delivery!

We will continue to have tons of items at the salon for sale for the holiday season. Pre-made gift baskets with Hempz products are available as well as pampering pre-made gift baskets! And of course, gift certificates are always available. We also have several of the adorable holiday crafts made by Melanie Horst on hand.

Exciting News from Posh Nail Studio, Columbus Cryoskin Spa & Posh Airbrush Tanning Studio, The Beautiful Choice Salon and Skintalk LLC!!!!

Please read entire message! It is a long one, but FULL of amazing news and information!

Our salon renovations are almost complete, everything will be completely finished by October 29th! Our salon is much bigger now since taking over the spot where Columbus Nutrition used to be. We certainly miss our amazing neighbors, but know they are doing so well with their Beaver Dam location!

The biggest change is that Posh Airbrush Tanning Studio is now in the same suite as all other services are (it was previously in a different suite on the other side of our building).

Starting November 1st, our Massage Therapist will be at the salon 5 days a week! If you have not had a massage yet with Arleta, you should book with her stat! She is amazing! You can find her business page on Facebook under Skintalk LLC. She is also a licensed Esthetician and does full body waxing and will soon be offering Facials!

We will be having a Holiday Open House on December 2nd. We will be finalizing the details soon and will send out more info on this event. We will have an amazing raffle, free product giveaways, snacks and beverages!

And finally, we are holding a Fundraiser for a local friend, Jeromy Toutant. Many of you may already know his story, but for those of you that don't, Jeromy was recently diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. Jeromy is 23 years old and is facing a tremendously difficult battle. His cancer is extremely rare and requires vigorous treatment. 100% of his time right now is dedicated to his treatments which consist of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy.

We have put together a huge raffle prize to raise funds for Jeromy and his family. The basket we have put together is valued at over $1500!!! The basket will include a 90 minute massage, 3 Spray Tans, Manicure/Pedicure package, Color and Cut and 1 free Cryoskin session. In addition to the free services there is a ton of free products and various gift cards from local businesses!

Each ticket purchased will be an entry into the drawing, which will be held at our Holiday Open House. If Jeromy is feeling well that day, he will be the one to draw the winning ticket! All monies raised will be presented to his family that day! Raffle tickets are $20 each!

You can also be entered into the drawing when purchasing a gift certificate!

Long post, but please be so kind to read!

As some of you know, I own a salon in Columbus. Our salon has gone from a little shop that offered Nail and Hair services to a salon that offers Nails, Hair, Massage, Full Body Waxing, Spray Tanning and Cryoskin!

The service I am asked about the most is Cryoskin. I absolutely love talking about Cryoskin and about all of the clients I have worked on over the past 3 years since implementing this service.

Cryoskin does SO much, but what it is best know for is fat loss. This machine and technique was specifically designed to help women and men attack the stubborn fat that diet and excersize just doesn't help. We all have these areas and we all get frustrated by them. I create postings every week, showing results from clients I worked on, and share them all over Facebook. Annoying, I know, but it is the best way to get your information out there!

I often have people make comments stating that what I am posting is BS, or I am trying to scam people. That is frustrating for me because it could not be further from the truth. I want to share this as much as I can because I know what this machine is capable of, I have seen it with my clients and I have seen it on myself!

Besides fat loss, Cryoskin also helps reduce cellulite, tightens and tones the skin, promotes the production of collagen and healthy blood flow, reduces deep wrinkles and makes fine lines disappear, reduces the double chin and is also used for pain management as is drastically reduces inflammation in all areas of the body.

Is is expensive? Not as expensive as a surgical procedure or Cool Sculpting. Sessions are sold in packages and range from $1500 to $6000, Totally depends on the area(s) of the body you want treated.

Does it hurt? Not at all! This method uses differing temperatures and is non-invasive. The session is very relaxing, often my clients fall asleep during it.

Does it work? It really really does! And if any of my current clients see this posting, I would love if you would share your experience with Cryoskin!
