Outstanding Provider Recognition: Natalie Barry

Natalie has worked with the same individual since 2020/2021, building a relationship based in trust and care. She goes above and beyond not only for the individual she supports, but also for their two dogs! During the summer, Natalie brings her children to the community pool, where they have built a special relationship with the individual she supports. And Natalie’s dog has become a favorite visitor, too!

As Blake, the person who nominated her, shared, “There is nobody else in this world I would staff this client with, as Natalie is the full package.”

Natalie has worked in the developmental disabilities field for about seven years. Her “aha” moment came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she transitioned from a day program to residential services. As her children joined her while schools moved to virtual learning, they developed meaningful relationships with the people she supported.

“Providing care is about so much more than meeting physical needs. It’s about building meaningful human connections,” Natalie shared.

We’re grateful for providers like Natalie who show every day how compassion, consistency, and connection can make such a meaningful difference. Thank you, Natalie, for the heart you bring to your work!

I’ve never seen anyone in this world able to nap the way that Nick can. No matter where he is or has to lay his head!

Natalie, thank you for being a literal “support” for Nick everyday!
