Let's talk about something….

You know it as Reiki (well, some of ya’s). Science calls it Biofield healing. What we call the ‘Aura’, science calls the biofield. Cool, right?!

But, let’s expand our language on this topic.

Reiki is Biofield therapy. Energetic healing. It sits right alongside Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, and Qigong. This is a category of healing modalites, studied and used for centuries.

You've heard us say Reiki, and you still will, however, starting now, you'll hear me say something that fits the science better: Biofield Healing. Something that, I, myself have done literary research on while achieving my Master’s.

Here's why.

You are not only chemistry. You are electricity. Magnetic. Literally. Every heartbeat fires an electrical pulse — it's literally what an EKG records. Every thought is a current — it's what an EEG maps. You are, measurably, a bioelectric being.

Researchers have a name for the energy field your body generates and lives inside: the biofield. It's not woo — the term was coined by scientists at a National Institutes of Health workshop back in 1992, and it's been studied in labs ever since. It is also something that the United States military have incorporated in some of their most prestigious hospitals.

And the therapies that work within that field? The research is quietly compelling. Reviews of clinical trials have found biofield-based sessions show strong evidence for easing pain and promising evidence for calming anxiety and lifting the deep fatigue that lingers after illness.

That's what happens on our table. Not magic — regulation. A nervous system finally dropping out of "brace for impact" and into rest. Your own electrical tide, smoothing out.
