🐘💜 HONOR THE ELEPHANT — WORLD ELEPHANT DAY 💜🐘
Today, August 12, we honor one of creation’s most magnificent teachers—the elephant.
Its enormous strength is joined with remarkable gentleness.
Its great ears remind us to **listen**.
Its memory reminds us to **remember**.
Its sensitivity reminds us to **pay attention**.
Its protective herd reminds us to **love, guard, and care for one another**.
And through the lens of Christ, these qualities point us toward something deeper:
✨ **Strength does not require aggression.**
✨ **Sensitivity is not weakness.**
✨ **Hearing is not the same as understanding.**
✨ **Discernment examines the fruit.**
✨ **Wisdom remembers before asking for another answer.**
✨ **True power knows how to be gentle.**
Jesus said:
**“He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” — Matthew 11:15**
And He gave us the measure:
**“By their fruits you will know them.” — Matthew 7:20**
So today, as we honor the elephant, may we also receive the lesson reflected through this extraordinary part of God’s creation:
🐘 **HEAR → DISCERN → REMEMBER → MEASURE → MOVE**
Listen before you move.
Discern before you follow.
Remember what Christ has already taught you.
Measure what you receive by its fruit.
Then walk deliberately—in truth, wisdom, gentleness, and love.
**The question is not simply, “How strong am I?”**
The greater question is:
# # # **How am I carrying my strength?**
May our strength protect rather than dominate.
May our sensitivity deepen rather than diminish us.
May our ears remain open to truth.
And may our lives bear fruit worthy of the One we follow.
🐘🌿✝️ **Honor the Elephant. Honor the Creator. Walk in the teachings of Christ.**
