🎉 Congratulations to Judy Iudice on 21 years with Futures Explored! 🎉

Since joining us in September 2005, Judy has dedicated her time to supporting the individuals we serve, championing independence, and helping build meaningful connections within the community.

Our Program Coordinator, Sara, also shared some encouraging words to celebrate Judy and recognize the positive impact she continues to make:

"21 years of service is more than a milestone. It's 21 years of changing lives, creating memories, and making a difference. Thank you for being such a special part of Connections Central!"

We Celebrate Jeff!

Passport to Independence recently celebrated a very special longtime participant, Jeff B., as he retired from our services after more than 20 years with Futures Explored! Throughout his time with us, Jeff held a variety of jobs, worked alongside dedicated job coaches, and enjoyed countless opportunities to connect with and explore the community during our outings.

Jeff brought so much joy wherever he went! From his hilarious jokes to his signature dance moves, he made many wonderful friendships along the way. He will truly be missed by participants and staff who have had the pleasure of seeing his smiling face each day.

To celebrate this exciting new chapter, the group decorated, enjoyed delicious pizza, and topped it all off with ice cream sundaes!

Congratulations on your retirement, Jeff! We are so grateful for the memories, laughter, friendships, and fun you’ve shared with us over the years. We will miss you and wish you all the best in this next chapter! 💙🎉

Meet Jake!
Thanks to the Employment Program in Sacramento, Jake has the opportunity to give back to his community by volunteering regularly at the Sacramento Children’s Museum in Rancho Cordova! We’d like to give a big thank-you to the museum for welcoming Jake and giving him the chance to help the children have a great experience over there.

And a special thank-you to Jake’s support staff, Max, for accompanying and supporting him during his time volunteering. We appreciate you!

Creative Arts & Media in Concord presents: FRIGHT NIGHT! 👻

On October 30th, we’re opening the doors to our haunted house and inviting the public to come experience a night of Halloween fun!

Come on down and celebrate the Halloween with us!
Browse and purchase artwork from our local creatives. Enjoy a selection of short films made by our students. And a special Live Musical Performance featuring our talented folks from Creative Arts & Media

This event will also help support our continued build-out of the CAM space. Any purchases & donations are greatly appreciated and will directly help us continue creating and expanding this space for our community.

The Story Continues – ART CONNECTS!

On November 13th, Creative Spotlight invites you to experience the extraordinary talent of a beautiful and diverse community at a multi-studio collective exhibition presented by AbilityPath, Futures Explored, and Helpers Community Inc.

Located at the Minnesota St. Project in San Francisco, CA, we will feature talented Bay Area artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), this inspiring evening celebrates access, representation, creativity, and belonging. Hear remarks from featured guest speaker Antonia Dapena-Tretter, Art Curator at Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. The show will also feature works by Artists at Cedars, Alchemia and Hope Studios.

Join arts leaders, collectors, advocates, and community members as we celebrate the transformative power of inclusive art—and how a more inclusive arts community benefits us all.

Last week, 6 members of the Futures Explored team spent 3 days in Tahoe at the CDSA Aligned Conference. This year's conference brought together disability service providers from all over the state to learn and network together. Our Senior Director of Media, Hester Wagner presented on the last day on "Perspective Seeking". One highlight was keynote speaker Don Yaeger who spoke on teamwork. Thanks to CDSA for all your hard work and great information.

A fabulous Thursday night, indeed!

Bingo cards were flying, laughter boomed throughout the night, and together we raised almost $4,000 to support Futures Explored! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who attended Drag Queen Bingo at Mango's in Sacramento and made this unforgettable evening such a success. Special thanks to the Rainbow Chamber of Commerce, our incredible Board of Directors, and everyone who helped bring this epic event to life.

Your generosity, enthusiasm, and support made all the difference. We couldn't have done it without you.
