We welcomed one of our regulars (who also happens to be one of our practitioners) into the pasture this morning for a little horse time, conversation, and collaboration planning...

Announcement coming soon on our Women's Small Group sessions with Lindsay Lundquist!!

But I also took this opportunity to pick her brain about some of the other offerings she has participated in, to bring a little insight into those thinking of joining us...

Our Rhythm & Resonance event is THIS Friday (9/11/26 @ 6:30pm) so I thought I would get Lindsay's take on the movement meditation portion of the evening (with Kat Harmon) for you...

Mara wrapped herself around the post while exploring this new structure in the Meditation Pasture...

Watch to the end & wait for the "why" before you panic & start typing how unsafe this is...

Now, for your horse, we would agree that it would be unsafe if you haven’t put in the work that we have to train them like this! But for THIS horse, and the others we have trained to think through something like this (while under constant supervision) it is not!

It's certainly not as dangerous as training a horse to rear up (or some other trained tricks we’ve seen), nor as dangerous as asking young horses to perform at a level that could be harmful to their development and create long-term physical issues, nor as dangerous as riding cross country (with fixed obstacles that have no give) and any number of other things people choose to do with their horses that have an element of danger to them…

We all do horses differently and to deem 1 thing as acceptable and another unacceptable as a blanket statement is to be oblivious to the dangers that everything involving horses has.

It is not my place to tell my friends who run barrels, or do eventing with their horses, or ride without a helmet, or even the ones who use ties downs or harsher bits, that they are wrong… I certainly have an opinion on those things, but what I choose to do with that opinion is not handle my horses that way, rather than tell anyone else what to do with theirs.

We do NOT recommend you do this with your horses, without proper training by the handler and understanding by the horse, and never without constant supervision!

You can literally see Mara thinking through this situation (if you are an educated horse person) and not "reacting" to it & I am SO proud of her (and thrilled that I caught this on camera to share).

The women who were on site this morning were fascinated by her lack of reaction and many commented on how cool it was to watch her think through it, rather than react as well, so it was a beautiful teachable moment.

This is what we train ours to do, whether it is a rope on a halter, a vine on a trail, or anything else they may be tangled in or find resistance from.

Please email us at [email protected] with questions & special requests.

Heres a little behind the scenes booking info info as well:

Once we find a day and time that works for your session, we will coordinate a time to send you the booking link via email. That link will be live on our site when we do, so we ask that you book it at the agreed upon time (keeping in mind that a delay in doing so may allow someone else to grab it).

We also want to announce that we are putting a 12-hour window on our wait list bookings & special requests.

You will be offered an available time slot via email and have 12-hours to reply. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that time does not work for you & move on to the next person on the list. You will remain on the list and we will check with you before starting down the list when we get another opening, as we work our wait list from oldest to newest.

We appreciate the overwhelming interest in joining us here in The Meditation Pasture at Leatherman Lane, and cannot wait to welcome you into this space 🫶

For those who think every session is majestic and worry about giggling/talking/etc during one...

Sometimes we talk, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, sometimes we meditate, sometimes the horses hover, sometimes they avoid, sometimes they are active participants...

This is one of our regulars and each one of of her sessions is different, as is every session we do with these horses! Book yours using the link for an "Equine Energy" session in our bio or go to tinyurl.com/EqEnergy without worrying about what it "should" be, and excited for what it will be for you 🫶

We can't wait to welcome you into this space!!
