But asking for a little help doesn’t mean you love them any less. It means you’re making room to care for yourself, too, while making sure they get the support they deserve.

Today, we celebrate Mercedes Binns, Founder and CEO of IGH Homecare & Concierge Solutions. 💙

Building a company takes courage, dedication, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when the road isn't easy. But building something meaningful takes more than that. It takes a leader who sees the people behind the work and wants to see them grow, succeed, and become the best versions of themselves.

One thing we truly appreciate is having a boss who wants her team to succeed not just in their careers, but in life, too. Someone who wants to see you learn, gain confidence, recognize your potential, and create better opportunities for yourself. Because there's a difference between having a boss who simply wants you to do your job and having a leader who genuinely wants to see you win.

And I hope more people get to experience that kind of leadership. The kind that reminds you that you're more than your position, that your growth matters, and that success isn't just about what you accomplish for a company, it's also about who you become along the way.

You can love your parents with all your heart and still feel exhausted from trying to do everything for them. 💙

You can be grateful for your family and still need a break. You can want your loved ones to remain independent while recognizing they may need a little extra support.

And NO, asking for help doesn't make you a bad daughter, son, or caregiver.

You’re human, too. You deserve support just as much as the people you care for.

Sometimes, letting someone help is one of the most loving decisions you can make, for them and for yourself. 💙

But life doesn’t always slow down.

If your parents, grandparents, or someone you love is getting older, make the time when you can. Sit down. Have the conversation. Listen to their stories. ❤️

The little moments we sometimes take for granted can become the ones we treasure most.

There’s something about getting older that reminds us how much our parents and grandparents have done for us.

They drove us places.
Made sure we had what we needed.
Stayed up when we were sick.
Showed up when it mattered.

And sometimes, years later, the roles start to change.

Maybe they need a little help around the house.
Maybe getting to appointments isn’t as easy anymore.
Maybe they just need someone to check in.

It doesn’t mean they’ve stopped being independent. It just means life changes.

And when it does, we show up for our people. ❤️

Stop by Grandma’s.
Check on the neighbor down the road.
Send that text you’ve been meaning to send.

You never know when a simple “How are you doing?” might mean a whole lot to someone.
