Our annual CPR/AED training is underway across all STAR Physical Therapy clinics! ❤️

While we hope these skills are never needed, staying prepared is essential to providing exceptional care to our patients and communities.

Yesterday, we wrapped up our regional new grad mentorship!

We had five STAR Physical Therapy clinicians join us, along with three physical therapy students, one from Belmont University and two from South College, as we covered the hip and SI joint.

Our New Grad Mentorship Program is a yearlong program designed to support clinicians as they transition into practice through a combination of one-on-one mentoring and collaborative group learning with colleagues across their region.

We're committed to supporting the next generation of physical therapists by offering students opportunities to participate in regional mentorship sessions and attend residency courses throughout the year.

Investing in mentorship and continuing education helps us build stronger clinicians and deliver exceptional care to our patients!

Bud McGiboney and Dan Headrick recently had the opportunity to work with the linemen at Caney Fork Electric Cooperative, Inc. to complete a Job Demands Analysis.

Many of us take having power at the flip of a switch for granted, but behind that everyday convenience are hardworking linemen. From responding to outage calls to 24-hour emergency shifts and working in extreme weather conditions, they show up every day ready to serve others and play a vital role in keeping our communities powered.

At STAR Physical Therapy, we are honored to partner with them and support their health and well-being so they can continue doing the essential work our communities depend on.

At STAR Physical Therapy, stories like Miss Lynda’s remind us why we love what we do. 💙

After struggling with hip pain for more than a year, Miss Lynda felt discouraged and ready to throw in the towel. She came to our Cookeville clinic searching for answers and relief. During her evaluation, Clinic Director Dustin Rich identified the source of her pain and developed a personalized treatment plan aimed at helping her return to the activities she loves most.

After attending physical therapy three times a week, Miss Lynda quickly began noticing less pain, increased strength, and renewed confidence. Today, she is riding her horse again after a year away from the saddle! 🐴

“I always feel much better both physically and emotionally after my visits.” 🙌

A huge shoutout to Dustin, Mike, Sydney, and Rebekkah for the compassionate care, encouragement, and support they provide every day. We are grateful to be part of Miss Lynda’s journey and can’t wait to see her continue to grow stronger and enjoy riding her horse!
