Why Chemical Peels Are Not Recommended During Extremely Cold Weather ❄️

Very cold temperatures can negatively affect the skin after a chemical peel. Here’s why:

1. Increased skin sensitivity
Cold weather weakens the skin’s natural barrier. After a chemical peel, the skin is already vulnerable, which can lead to:
irritation and burning
excessive redness
delayed healing

2. Higher risk of skin damage
Post-peel skin is thinner and more reactive. Exposure to freezing temperatures and wind may cause:
broken capillaries
extreme dryness
surface frostbite in severe conditions

3. Slower regeneration
Cold weather reduces blood circulation, which slows down the skin’s natural repair process. This can result in:
