Begin with learning how to read & measure your analytics, especially when you run ads. The key is to know WHERE your traffic is coming from at all times. If your brain is not as analytical as youād like it to be (Letās be real, we are artists! We donāt do analytical!), then hire an expert to help you read and leverage that important data. Once you know where the majority of your traffic is coming from, youāll know which channel of communication yields the highest profit margin for your business.
Social media is part of the marketing landscape & a game-changer for PMU businesses. Learning to leverage the algorithm is a topic for another conversation, but in the meantime, determine which platforms of communication work best for your brand. It is not just about IG or FB, itās about taking advantage of ALL channels of communication, such as: YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Tik Tok, podcasting, blogs, book writing & more. Think about what you can share -on multiple platforms- in an effort to be efficient with your time & energy. Work smarter, not harder!
Think about HOW your community consumes information & be strategic about your copywriting. It is imperative to set the tone for your brand which can be achieved through your copy. You may be savvy with creating images & video content which reflect your marketing brilliance, however, your copy should echo your graphic message. A well articulated tagline, caption or blog post can solidify the fact that you are, indeed, the expert in your field.
At the end of the day, you must understand that digital marketing is not about you, it's about your community. When you fully understand and identify who your audience is and what their struggles are, you will be able to connect with them in a way that truly resonates and empowers.
