At ICT, we believe there’s no one right way to enjoy a holiday. It’s all about finding what feels fun, comfortable, and just right for each child. ✨

🎃👻 A little Halloween fun with a whole lot of skill building!

Picking up those tiny spiders takes more than a steady hand! 🕷️ Activities like this give our kids opportunities to practice fine motor control, bilateral coordination, hand strength, grasp, and using just the right amount of pressure.

And the best part? They’re having fun while they do it! 🧡

At ICT, we love finding playful ways to work on the skills that help children participate in everyday activities, from getting dressed to using classroom tools to creating their own little masterpieces.

A little Halloween magic! 👻

Tearing cotton balls, picking up tiny pieces, and gluing them onto a ghost may look like simple fun, but there’s so much happening behind those little hands!

🖐️ Fine motor skills to strengthen little fingers
🤏 Pincer grasp to pick up tiny pieces
👀 Visual-motor coordination to place cotton where it belongs
🧠 Planning and problem-solving to bring the ghost to life
👂 Following directions to complete each step
🤝 Sharing materials and taking turns while creating together
🎯 Focus and attention to stay engaged in the activity

We were so grateful to be part of the CARD Community Awards and celebrate the incredible champions who make our South Florida community so special. 💚💙

There is something truly meaningful about bringing people together who share a commitment to creating a more inclusive community where everyone feels valued, supported, and that they belong. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees for the difference you make every day!

As we look ahead to April 2027, we’re excited to bring our community together once again for the UM CARD Gala, celebrating the individuals, families, partnerships, and shared purpose that make this work so meaningful, all while supporting CARD’s incredible mission.
