UM-NSU CARD operates in three Florida counties under the supervision of a constituency board comprised of constituents and family members who help guide program policy priorities and activities. Flashback Friday to last month, we had the joy of celebrating our incredible CARD moms at our Just for Mom Mother’s Day Brunch. From laughter and meaningful conversations to moments of relaxation and connection, it was a beautiful day dedicated to the amazing mothers in our CARD community.

CARD Spotlight 💙
Meet Dr. Anibal Gutierrez, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and Ivan Deveaux, M.S., BCBA— CARD’s Behavioral Support and Consultation Division.

Dr. Gutierrez serves as Division Director and Co-Director of IBIS, specializing in early intervention, treatment of problem behavior, and adaptive skill development for individuals with autism. He also directs the Applied Behavior Analysis Master’s Program, training the next generation of clinicians.

Ivan Deveaux oversees CARD’s Miami Lakes office and serves as liaison to MDCPS schools, providing direct family and community support while advancing research in sibling dynamics, group-based interventions, and behavior treatment.
Together, they bring decades of experience in research, clinical care, and education to support individuals with autism and their families.
