My patient came in with something we see often; aging that had touched virtually every part of her face at once. The brows, the upper and lower eyelids, the jawline, the neck, and the upper lip. Rather than addressing these in isolation, the goal was to create one cohesive, harmonious result.
Here's what we did and why:
Her upper eyelid hooding was significant, but the root cause wasn't entirely the eyelid itself, a lot of it came from brow descent. When the brows drop, they push down on the upper eyelids and create that heavy, tired appearance. Treating the eyelid alone without addressing the brow would have been an incomplete solution. So, we performed an endoscopic temporal brow lift to restore the brow position, followed by a conservative upper blepharoplasty to address the remaining excess skin.
We also performed a lower blepharoplasty to remove the fat pads that had been bulging under the eyes, which quietly ages the face more than most people realize.
For the lower face and neck, a deep plane face and neck lift restored the jawline definition and eliminated the jowling and obliqueness in her profile that had softened her neck angle over time.
And finally, the upper lip lift. A subtle procedure, but in her case it was the detail that tied everything together. It restored the natural proportion between the nose and lip, added a hint of fullness, and contributed to an overall sense of harmony across the entire face.
Every face tells a different story. If you've been noticing changes and wondering where to start, a consultation is the first step.
