Hi, I’m Dr. Mikhail Daya, a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
My journey in dentistry began in my home country of Venezuela, where I attended dental school and completed an Oral Surgery externship before making the decision to pursue Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2010, I moved to Florida to continue that journey.
I earned my DMD from Nova Southeastern University and went on to complete my four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova, where I gained extensive experience treating everything from facial trauma and complex reconstruction to corrective jaw surgery.
Following residency, I moved to St. Louis to complete an advanced fellowship focused on TMJ and orthognathic surgery at Movahed OMS and Mercy Hospital. During that time, I also had the privilege of providing pro bono surgical care to underserved children from across the Western Hemisphere, an experience that continues to shape the way I approach patient care today.
What I love most about oral surgery is the impact it can have on someone’s life. Whether we’re helping a patient overcome chronic pain, restore function, or regain their confidence, being part of that transformation is incredibly rewarding.
I look forward to welcoming you to South Florida Institute of Oral Surgery. 🦷
