We are seeking initial funding through the T-Mobile Friday Night Lights contest to be used toward the purchase of a Medical Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) like the one shown in the photo. We currently have no means to transport injured athletes, medical equipment, and water-filled coolers to nearby practice venues from our athletic training facility. Our venues are spread out, basically at two separate locations a mile in distance apart, making daily field prep and tasks frustrating. This also increases the chance that a quick medical removal from the field of play is almost impossible.
We currently use a garden-style wagon, making multiple trips for field prep materials and medical equipment, and we rely on privately owned vehicles for medical emergency response transport from the field of play. While we have managed and have been fortunate, we are seeking a chance for funding to be used wisely as a medical response vehicle only and as a great resource for all our athletic teams.
