During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the Hispanic and Latino communities making a lifesaving impact through organ and tissue donation.

So far in 2026, 853 Hispanic/Latino individuals have given the gift of life as living organ donors, representing nearly 17% of all living donors nationwide.

Every donor represents generosity, hope and a second chance at life.

During Southern Heritage Classic weekend in Memphis, Mid-South Transplant Foundation staff and ambassadors across the city sharing education and resources about organ and tissue donation.

Community Relations Coordinator Mary Beck connected with healthcare and clinical services students at South Panola High School while Ambassadors Vanessa Brocks and Marvis McNeil represented the mission at the Southern Heritage Classic Fashion Show.

Meanwhile, additional Mid-South Transplant staff and outreach team members joined the tailgate celebration before the big game, partnering with Southern Legacy of Life to provide information, answer questions and encourage conversations about the lifesaving impact of organ and tissue donation.

From classrooms to community events to one of Memphis’ biggest cultural weekends, we’re proud to meet people where they are and continue spreading a message that can save and heal lives.

Thank You to the Walmart Cordova Pharmacy and Vision Center. For the fourth consecutive year, the Cordova, TN, Walmart Pharmacy and Vision Center have selected MSTF as their Spark Good Local Grant recipient. They generously awarded MSTF $2,000. The grant is part of the Walmart Foundation Local Community Grants Program and MSTF was selected based on its work in the community served by the store.
