After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to close Village Ink Therapy Tattoos at the end of this month.
The past 8 years have been a journey, real highs, real lows, and everything in between. It’s been rewarding and meaningful, but also stressful and exhausting at times. A true rollercoaster. I’ve been blessed to meet some amazing people and make many new friends along the way.
When I opened this studio in 2019, the name of the shop carried deep meaning for me. “Village” came from my faith, continuing the calling even when it’s not easy or familiar (Luke 8). “Ink Therapy” came from both loss and purpose. After losing my brother to su***de, I believed tattooing could be more than just tattoos; it could be a place where people could come in, talk, rest for a moment, and know someone was there.
Recently in the past year, my passion has shifted. It’s time to close this chapter. My goals have changed and it’s time to put my focus completely on that. I’m no longer able to give tattooing, and more importantly, my clients, the level of energy they deserve. I don’t believe in doing things halfway, so stepping away is the honest choice.
This doesn’t mean tattooing is gone forever. Maybe one day down the road I’ll come back to it in some form, just not right now.
I’m grateful for everyone who supported the shop, trusted me with meaningful work, and shared their stories with me. Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited for this next chapter. 🙏🏼
If you have an upcoming appointment or a deposit, please message me directly so everything can be handled properly.
