**I LOVE this book because... 📚❤️**

Have you ever read a book and thought...

*I need to remember this.*

And then six months later realized you probably need to read the whole thing again? 😂

That's **Becoming MomStrong by Heidi St. John** for me.

I've read this one more than once because there are so many reminders in it that I need in different seasons of motherhood.

One of the things that resonated most with me was the reminder that I am equipped for the work God has given me to do—even when raising and homeschooling children in a world that can feel pretty uncertain.

Motherhood can make you question yourself.

Homeschooling can *definitely* make you question yourself. 😉

And there are seasons when it's easy to wonder:

*Am I doing enough?*

This book continually brings me back to faith, purpose, grace, and the reminder that I don't have to do everything perfectly to faithfully do what I've been called to do.

Sometimes we need permission to stop striving quite so hard, find some rest, and trust God with the pieces we can't control.

It's one of those books that has earned a permanent spot on my bookshelf. ❤️

**Have you read Becoming MomStrong?**

Or better yet...

📚 **What's a book YOU love that you think I should read?**

I'm always looking for recommendations, so drop yours below!

**Neuropathy isn't just about burning, numbness, or tingling.**

It's about waking up exhausted because your feet kept you awake half the night.

It's about feeling unsteady when you walk.

It's about wondering whether you can tolerate wearing your favorite shoes.

It's about struggling with buttons, cooking, typing, or other everyday tasks because your fingers don't feel the way they used to.

It's about saying “no” to something you want to do because you're worried about how you'll feel afterward.

And sometimes...

It's about being afraid of what your future might look like.

That's why when someone tells me neuropathy is affecting almost every part of their life...

**I believe them.**

Neuropathy may begin with changes in peripheral nerves, but its *impact* can reach into sleep, movement, balance, independence, confidence, work, relationships, and quality of life.

That's also why I don't believe neuropathy care should focus exclusively on asking:

**“How do we make the burning stop?”**

Of course symptom relief matters.

But I also want to know:

How are you sleeping?

How are you moving?

Do you feel safe and confident walking?

What activities have you stopped doing?

What does your nutrition look like?

How is your overall health?

And most importantly...

**What has neuropathy taken away from you that you desperately want back?**

That's the whole-person approach behind the **Neuropathy Reset**.

We aren't just looking at a pair of painful feet.

We're looking at the person attached to them. ❤️

Tell me below:

**What area of your LIFE has neuropathy affected the most?**

If I have a resource that can help, I'll point you in the right direction.

**September is Pain Awareness Month 💙**

And this is a conversation that matters deeply to me.

Chronic pain affects millions of adults in the United States—but behind every statistic is a person.

A person who may be struggling to sleep.

Someone who has stopped doing activities they love.

Someone trying to work while hurting.

Someone who is afraid to move because they don't know whether it will make things worse.

Someone who has tried treatment after treatment and still doesn't feel like they understand WHY they're hurting.

Chronic pain can be associated with many different conditions, including:

→ Low back pain
→ Arthritis and joint conditions
→ Previous injuries
→ Fibromyalgia
→ Neurological conditions
→ Neuropathy and nerve injury
→ Cancer and cancer treatment
→ And many others

And here's one of the most important things I hope to communicate this month:

**Pain is complex.**

It isn't simply a measurement of tissue damage.

Our nervous system, physical health, sleep, stress, movement, environment, experiences, emotions, and many other factors can influence the pain experience.

That doesn't mean the pain isn't real.

**It means we need a bigger toolbox.**

Throughout September, I'm going to be sharing more about chronic pain and neuropathy, how the nervous system works, and some of the integrative strategies I use to help people better understand and manage their symptoms.

Because the more we understand pain, the better equipped we are to have meaningful conversations about it.

It's time to change the way we talk about chronic pain. 💙

If chronic pain or neuropathy has touched your life or someone you love, drop a 💙 below.

My three “no-excuse” habits that keep me moving

Life gets busy, and I don’t always have time for a long or perfectly planned workout.
That’s why I have a few simple movement habits I can return to—even on full days.

1. I choose a minimum amount that still counts.
A short walk, a few mobility exercises, or ten minutes of intentional movement may not feel impressive, but it keeps me from falling into the all-or-nothing trap.

2. I connect movement to something already in my routine.
I may stretch while the coffee is brewing, walk after a meal, or practice a balance exercise while standing near the kitchen counter.

3. I adjust instead of automatically skipping.
If my body is tired or uncomfortable, I change the type or intensity of movement. Gentle movement still counts, and consistency matters more than perfection.

Movement doesn’t have to be extreme to support your strength, balance, energy, and long-term independence.

The best movement plan isn’t the most impressive one. It’s the one you can safely and consistently return to.

What is one simple habit that helps you keep moving? Share it below—it might be exactly the idea someone else needs today.

What actually happens during a Calmare treatment?

If you've been curious about Calmare but feel a little nervous because you don't know what to expect, this video is for you.

I'm taking you behind the scenes and walking you through the process from beginning to end.

We'll talk about:
✔️ What happens before your first treatment
✔️ How I determine where to place the electrodes
✔️ What Calmare actually feels like
✔️ How long a treatment session lasts
✔️ Why treatment is typically completed as a series
✔️ What you can do to support your nervous system during treatment
✔️ What happens after your treatment series is complete
There are no needles, injections, sedation, or surgery, and treatment should not be painful.

More importantly, Calmare isn't something I believe you should walk into without understanding why you're doing it or whether it's appropriate for you.

Flashback: I wouldn’t have believed this life was possible

If you had told me several years ago that my family would be living on 24 acres, renovating an adorable 1940s farmhouse, building a homestead, and taking steps toward my dream of an integrative wellness center in the North Georgia mountains…

I might have bet against myself.

At that time, I felt stuck in my job and wasn’t sure how to create a life that more fully reflected my faith, family, and purpose.

I didn’t have the entire plan.

Honestly, I still don’t have every step figured out.

But things began changing when I stopped waiting for the perfect time and started taking small, intentional steps toward what I wanted to build.

That lesson applies to our health, too.

We often imagine that meaningful change requires one enormous decision. More often, our future is shaped by the small choices we’re willing to repeat:
A short walk.
A nourishing meal.
An earlier bedtime.
A few minutes of prayer or quiet breathing.
One promise kept to ourselves.

Small steps may not feel life-changing in the moment, but they can move us toward a completely different future.

What small change are you ready to make so your future looks a little more like the life you’ve been envisioning?

Is walking enough to improve your balance?

Walking is one of the most accessible ways to support your health. It helps maintain endurance, encourages circulation, supports joint mobility, and keeps you engaged in your daily life.

But is walking by itself enough to improve balance?

Here are a few things to consider.

The benefits:
*Walking builds functional endurance.
*It helps maintain lower-body strength.
*It provides repeated practice shifting your weight from one foot to the other.
*It can help increase confidence with everyday movement.

The limitations:
*Walking on a smooth, predictable surface may not challenge all your balance systems.
*It doesn’t always build the strength needed to recover from a loss of balance.
*It may not adequately practice turning, stepping backward, navigating obstacles, or changing speeds.

If you consistently walk while looking down or holding tightly to something, you may reinforce compensatory patterns.

Walking is an excellent part of a movement plan—but it may not be the entire plan.

For better balance, we often need a combination of walking, strengthening, mobility work, and safe balance challenges selected for the individual.

Would you be interested in a simple post showing a few ways to make a walking routine more balance-focused?

Having big goals is sooo important!

I have daily goals, monthly goals, yearly goals—and more lists than I would probably care to admit. 😊

Those smaller goals serve as signposts. They help me stay focused on the life, family, and business I’m working to build.

But I also believe in having a big, audacious goal.

This is the kind of goal that feels a little beyond what is currently possible—the one you don’t yet know how to accomplish.

My big goal is to create an integrative wellness center in the North Georgia mountains where people can receive treatment, participate in whole-person wellness programs, and attend restorative healing retreats.

I envision a place where we can address movement, nutrition, pain, stress, nervous-system health, and meaningful lifestyle change in a beautiful and peaceful environment.

I don’t have every step figured out.

But each program I create, each person I help, and each new piece of the integrative wellness model brings that vision a little closer.

Sometimes a big goal begins to feel possible simply because we’re willing to name it—and then take the next small step toward it.

Now I would love to hear yours:

What is one big, audacious goal you would pursue if you knew you couldn’t fail?
Share it in the comments so we can cheer one another on!
