Treating Disorders

On September 9th we were invited to partner with Treating Disorders at the first 5K in Cortland County that raised awareness for eating disorders. Thank you to Lydia’s (seen below in the blue shirt) very generous donation our department is able to get clinicians trained in best practices for treatment of this disorder.

Lydia is a SUNY Cortland student that developed and implemented all of this as her senior project. This goes to show that dreams really can come true. Lydia is living proof of this!

We are thankful that Lydia included us and are excited for the opportunity in professional development.

In case you wanted to see the results have been posted at Falcon Race timing’s site

The goal of the 5k is to raise money for specialized training in eating disorders for clinicians at Cortland County Mental Health Department. There will be raffles following the 5k as another way to donate toward the cause.
