🌟 Resident Spotlight: Kevin A.! 🌟

Kevin has called Corydon Specialty Care home for 8½ years, and one of his favorite things to do is give our staff a hard time — and he says he enjoys every minute of it! 😂

Kevin grew up west of Allerton on a farm and is a proud dad to four daughters. He shared that one of his greatest accomplishments is watching all four of his girls graduate from college. ❤️

Throughout his life, Kevin worked as a farmer and also worked in a factory in Chariton. Some of his favorite hobbies include going to his daughters’ sporting events, playing golf, and playing slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball.

Kevin’s advice to the younger generation is simple but important:

✨ “Be humble. Be kind. Work hard at everything you do.” ✨

🌟 Meet Ken M., CMA 🌟

For the past 17 years, Ken has been a valued member of the Corydon Specialty Care team, providing compassionate care and support to our residents every day. 💙

When asked what keeps him passionate about his work after all these years, his answer was simple:
"Helping the residents." ❤️

Ken describes his team as caring, amazing, and kind, creating the supportive environment that makes Corydon Specialty Care feel like family.
Outside of work, Ken enjoys spending time with family and friends and appreciates the relationships that matter most.

His advice to those entering the caregiving profession?
💬 "Don't do it for the pay."

Caregiving is about serving others, building connections, and making a lasting difference in someone's life.

Last week, we were blessed to welcome Pastor Jessica and Corydon United Methodist Church for a wonderful Vacation Bible School with our residents. Everyone enjoyed making cute pillows and creating birdhouses.

A special highlight was seeing Marge proudly showing off her pillow! Corydon Methodist Church has been an important part of her life for many years. She taught Bible School there and was involved in many other church activities, making this visit especially meaningful for her.

Thank you, Pastor Jessica and the Corydon Methodist Church, for sharing your time and talents with our residents. We truly appreciate you and the joy you brought to our community! ❤️🙏🏽⛪️
