The 4th Annual Dolled Up event was everything we hoped it would be and more. Thank you to everyone who took the time out of their day to attend. Because of you we raised $55,000 that will go directly back into our program and supporting Orange County’s only nonprofit end of life care home.

Yesterday, Machiko’s Legacy came to the Heavenly Home to give life-like Maltese dogs to a few of our hospice residence to provide some comfort and cuddles. The mission behind this nonprofit is to provide gentle emotional support to hospice and end-of-life palliative care patients through plush Maltese gods that help reduce feelings of isolation and bring warmth, reassurance and connectedness to patients.

We are pleased to continue our partnership with to provide cuddly companions to our Heavenly Home residents who want one moving forward.

In the midst of the chemical leak and evacuation orders impacting the Garden Grove community, the Heavenly Home opened its doors today to provide a safe refuge for a critically ill patient requiring 24-hour care.

Tonight, our final bed is filled with someone who simply needed a safe place to be cared for until it is safe to return home. Moments like this remind us that compassionate care extends beyond hospice — it means showing up for our community in times of crisis.

Please keep all affected families, first responders, and healthcare workers in your thoughts as the situation continues to unfold. ❤️

There are moments when the sky seems to pause and say something words cannot.

After the storm passed over the Heavenly Home, a rainbow appeared, stretching wide across the sky. The pavement still glistened, the air felt hushed, and everything seemed to settle into a quiet kind of peace.

At the Heavenly Home, we walk alongside individuals and families in some of life’s most difficult seasons. Storms come in many forms here: grief, uncertainty, goodbye. And yet, just like this moment, there is also beauty. There is peace. There is presence.

This rainbow felt like a quiet reminder of what we witness every day:
Even in the hardest moments, there is grace.
Even after the storm, there is light. 🌈

Yesterday we got to celebrate the birthday of our resident, Diane. 🪻🌷🌼🌹🌻🌱

Diane loves flowers, so we spent a beautiful April morning making flower arrangements followed by Diane’s two other favorites: chocolate cake and Mexican food!

We love being able to celebrate birthdays with our residents and this was a fun way to involve other residents, too! 🎉🎂

We are so excited to announce that the 4th Annual Dolled Up Luncheon is happening on May 6 at the stunning Pacific Club in Newport Beach. This year we are beyond honored to welcome our Keynote speaker Lu Parker. Lu is a 6x Emmy Award-winning journalist, former Miss USA, inspirational speaker, kindness advocate, and founder of Be Kind & Co. Lu knows first hand how to navigate change with grace and resilience.

Her message couldn’t feel more fitting for this event. Because at Dolled Up, we gather to honor the dignity of life in every chapter. All proceeds from the event will go to support The Heavenly Home, Orange County’s first nonprofit residential end of life care home.
