💪😄 Nothing like a good old-fashioned arm wrestling contest between a resident and a staff member here at Sweden Valley Manor!

There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughter, and one very determined resident. Judging by that winning smile, we'd say Carlton came out on top! 🏆👏

💙 Today we said goodbye to one of our residents as he discharged home.

Wayne, we sure will miss you! Thank you for making Sweden Valley your home away from home and for allowing us the privilege of becoming a part of your extended family. It has been an honor to be part of your journey, and we are grateful for the memories, smiles, and friendships we've shared along the way.

We wish you continued success, happiness, and good health in this next chapter. Once a member of the Sweden Valley family, always a member of the Sweden Valley family! ❤️🏡

Even our Administrator's daughter got in on the action at the picnic!

What a great helper she was. Her endless energy was appreciated by everyone throughout the day. Rumor has it she was fast asleep on the couch shortly after they got home!

In this photo, these ladies were getting ready for a well-deserved break after all their hard work.

We would also like to congratulate Kayla, who will soon be welcoming her second child. We are so excited for her and wish her family all the best as they prepare for this special arrival!

Sweden Valley's Family & Resident Picnic

Sweden Valley residents, families, and staff enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at our Family & Resident Picnic! Guests gathered to enjoy a delicious meal featuring grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, fresh fruit, and a variety of tasty desserts.

To complement our Western cowboy theme, we served refreshing birch b**r, non-alcoholic, of course! 🤠

The afternoon was filled with fun activities, including games, co****le, and the crowd favorite, the dunk tank, which was enjoyed by both staff and guests. There were plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and memorable moments shared throughout the day.

A special thank you to Mother Nature for providing a beautiful summer day, making the picnic a perfect opportunity for residents, families, and staff to come together and enjoy each other's company.

Our Maintenance Supervisor, Devin, stepped up as grill master for the day, and he did an outstanding job! From hot dogs to hamburgers, everything was served fresh off the grill and enjoyed by all. Thank you, Devin, for helping make the day a success and keeping everyone well-fed with a delicious cookout! 🍔🌭👏

Our newest resident had 3 generations of her family joining her for the afternoon to enjoy the sunshine and our picnic.

Her grandsons even joined in for a friendly game of corn hole with some Sweden Valley staff. They failed to mention, they’ve played the game before and quite well.
