Do you know a child facing a life-threatening illness?

One simple conversation could connect a family to a magical wish, valuable resources, and a supportive community that understands their journey. 💛

Many families don't realize they may qualify for A Wish Come True. Others may assume their child's illness isn't severe enough, that applications are complicated, or that receiving a wish might take opportunities away from another child. None of those things are true.

At A Wish Come True, we provide wishes at no cost to families, and we continue embracing families before, during, and after the wish through family events, holiday and birthday support, emergency hardship assistance, and more.

Anyone can make a referral, including parents, family members, friends, teachers, nurses, social workers, and community members.

If you know a child between the ages of 3 and 18 living in Rhode Island, Central or Southeastern Massachusetts, or Eastern Connecticut who is facing a life-threatening illness, please help us connect with them.

A referral could be the first step toward hope, joy, support, and lasting memories. 💛

We are incredibly grateful to Jeff Massey for his continued generosity and commitment to supporting our wish children and their families. 💛

Jeff recently made a remarkable gift of appreciated securities totaling $53,417, marking the first stock gift ever received by A Wish Come True. This meaningful contribution will help us continue granting magical wishes and embracing families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

After three years of dedicated service to A Wish Come True, Kelly Bolton has made the decision to step down from her role as Director of Operations.

During her time with AWCT, Kelly has been an integral part of the organization’s growth and success. Her commitment, leadership, compassion, and attention to detail have helped strengthen our programs, support our families, and advance our mission in countless ways. Kelly’s impact on our organization will be felt for years to come, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has contributed.

Kelly has recently accepted an opportunity that aligns with her personal life goals, particularly allowing her to spend more time with her husband following his retirement. While we will miss her greatly, we are excited for this next chapter in her life and fully support her decision. Her last day is May 29th. Adriana Aiken will continue to be the primary contact for granting wishes as the Wish Coordinator.

✨We are so excited to officially welcome Ryan Finnegan to the A Wish Come True Board of Directors!✨

Ryan has been part of the AWCT family since 2022 as a Board Associate and member of our fundraising committee. Many of our wish families already know Ryan through his incredible involvement with our annual Trunk or Treat event, where he serves as Chair, helping create magical memories for the children and families we support. Ryan also serves as Vice Chair of our Emerging Leaders group, helping inspire and engage the next generation of supporters dedicated to our mission.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in General Business Administration and currently works as an Outside Salesman for Finetco. Beyond his professional work, Ryan is deeply committed to giving back to the community through Finetco’s Charitable Organization and his service on the Rhode Island Builders Association Board.

Ryan has generously stepped up time and time again for our mission. From helping contractors build Nap’s Nook to assisting with special wish projects, including building a treehouse for one of our wish children, Ryan always finds meaningful ways to support our families with kindness, heart, and dedication.

Thank you, Ryan, for all you already do for A Wish Come True and the families we support. We are grateful to have you as part of our Board of Directors and excited for all that is ahead! ✨

We are beyond grateful to our incredible wish family, the Krowels, for bringing copies of Resilient Hearts: Navigating Your Child’s Life-Threatening Illness with Love and Hope to Give Kids The World Village so more wish families can read these powerful stories and know they are not alone. 💛

The family placed books throughout the Village for families to discover during their stay. Because Give Kids The World is a place created only for wish families, it is such a meaningful place for these stories of hope, love, resilience, and connection to reach the hands of families who truly need them.
