You spent the summer running kids to practices, sitting through tournaments, working, mowing, traveling, and probably putting yourself somewhere near the bottom of the list.

September is a good time to change that.

If your knee has been nagging you, your shoulder isn’t moving like it used to, or your back has been bothering you since spring, give us a call. In many cases, you can start physical therapy without a doctor’s order.

Call or text us at 765-201-0071.

📞 We apologize in advance if your call isn’t answered today…

Our receptionist is currently unavailable due to sleeping on the job. 😴😂
She has been written up, reprimanded, and told to get back to work immediately.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem concerned. 😂🍼

Just kidding! Our phones are open and we’re answering calls!
But we are accepting applications for someone who can teach us how to sleep this peacefully. 😂💕

Cross country season is here. 🏃‍♀️🏃

A sport where someone says, “Let’s go run three miles,” and everyone somehow agrees.

As mileage builds, little issues can turn into bigger ones if they’re ignored. Persistent shin, knee, hip, ankle, or foot pain is worth paying attention to, especially if it starts changing how an athlete runs.

Wishing all of our local runners a healthy and successful season. Run smart, support your teammates, and enjoy every finish line.

Girls golf season is underway. ⛳

Golf may not look as demanding as some fall sports, but walking the course, repeated swings, rotation through the hips and back, and hours of practice can add up quickly.

If shoulder, back, hip, or knee pain starts changing a golfer’s swing or making it harder to finish a round comfortably, it’s worth addressing early.

Wishing all of our local girls golf teams a healthy and successful season. Stay patient, trust your swing, and enjoy the course.

Volleyball season is here! 🏐

Jumping, hitting, landing, changing direction — volleyball asks a lot from the shoulders, knees, and ankles. As practices and matches ramp up, those little aches are worth paying attention to before they turn into something that starts affecting how an athlete plays.

Wishing all of our local volleyball teams a healthy and successful season. Play hard, support your teammates, and enjoy the ride.

And remember, the wins are great — but the teamwork, discipline, confidence, and friendships are what stick with you long after the season is over.

Soccer season is here. ⚽

That means a lot of running, sprinting, cutting, kicking, and sudden changes of direction — usually all packed into a pretty short window once practices and games get rolling.

A little soreness with increased activity can be normal, but pain that keeps getting worse, changes how an athlete runs, or doesn’t settle down between practices is worth paying attention to.

The goal isn’t always to shut an athlete down. Sometimes it’s about adjusting load, building strength, and keeping them moving safely through the season.

Wishing all of our local soccer players a healthy, successful season. Play hard, be a great teammate, and enjoy it.

Friday night lights are back, and that means the best time of year is here.

We’ll always pull for the Trojans, but we know better than to take those Mustangs lightly. That rivalry has a way of making Friday nights a little louder

Wishing every athlete, coach, family, and community across the Wabash Valley a healthy and successful football season. At the end of the day, the real outcome isn’t just the scoreboard — it’s learning teamwork, discipline, dedication, and how to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Good luck this season from all of us at Advantage Therapy & Rehabilitation.

We’re working on a Fall Athlete Recovery Saturday at Advantage. Low-cost (and maybe even some free options) with one goal: help local athletes recover, stay healthy, and keep playing.

Wednesday Wellness Tip!

Low back pain doesn’t always start in the low back. Tight hip flexors like the iliopsoas and re**us femoris can increase stress through the lower back and contribute to discomfort.

Two stretches that may help:
• Modified Thomas Stretch
• Wall Quad Stretch

Try holding each stretch for 30–45 seconds and repeating 2–3 times per side while keeping your core engaged.

If back or hip tightness has been bothering you, we’d love to help!
