Sometimes, we are so caught up in our everyday hustle and bustle that we lose sight of the new and great things God is doing in our lives. We quickly forget the breakthroughs we experience and the answers we receive to our prayers. The problem is not that God doesn't do anything for us but that we are not paying attention well enough. Afternoon prayer,
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Creator of everything; thank You for being with me through all my trials. Although the trials seem unbearable at times, I know that's what makes me stronger. Thanks for giving me the strength to endure the challenging times. I am unsure what lies ahead or what I will have to face, but I rely entirely on You and trust Your Word. Until the new day comes, I pray that Your loving kindness and tender mercy will heal the sick, comfort the bereavements, give hope to the brokenness in this world, and give your children peace that surpasses all understanding.

In Jesus's name, I pray. Amen.
