💬 Q&A Time
1️⃣ What inspired you to pursue a career in pharmacy, and what do you enjoy most about your role?
I decided to pursue a career in pharmacy because l've always wanted a job where I could genuinely help people every single day. Growing up, I saw how much of a difference compassionate healthcare workers made for my family, and that stuck with me. What l enjoy most about my rote is building relationships with patients -whether it's helping someone understand their medication, easing their worries, or simply being a familiar face, they can trust when they walk into the pharmacy.
2️⃣ What’s one thing you wish more people knew about the work pharmacists do?
One thing I wish more people knew is how much goes on behind the scenes in a pharmacy. Pharmacists and pharmacy techs do far more than count pills - we review prescriptions for safety, catch possible drug interactions, work with doctors and insurance companies, manage inventory, give vaccines, and help patients navigate complicated heath situations. It's a fast-paced environment that requires a lot of teamwork, attention to detail, and compassion.
3️⃣ How do you stay motivated or centered during busy days in the pharmacy?
During busy days, I stay motivated by reminding myself that every prescription belongs to a reaI person who is depending on us. Even when things get hectic, l try to stay focused, organized, and positive because I know our work directly impacts people's heath and peace of mind. Taking a moment to laugh with coworkers or hearing a patient say "thank you" can completely reset my day.
4️⃣ What’s a fun fact about you or a hobby you enjoy outside of work that might surprise people?
A fun fact about me is that outside of work, I really enjoy spending time outdoors and finding ways to recharge away from the busy pharmacy environment. Whether it's cooking, listening to music, watching sports, or just relaxing with family and friends, I've learned how important it is to have balance and hobbies that help me
unwind.
5️⃣ What do you enjoy most about serving our community, and how does your work in the pharmacy help make a difference?
What I enjoy most about serving our community is knowing that people trust us during some of their most vulnerable moments. Pharmacy is one of the most accessible parts of healthcare, and I love being able to answer questions, provide reassurance, and help patients feel cared for, even small interactions - like helping someone save money on medication or explaining how to take it correctly - can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
