Tammany began back in 1949 when the belated Frederick Cleary Grieshaber, MD (Dr. Fred) started practicing Dermatology in New Orleans. Dr. Fred received his MD at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his Internship and Dermatology Residency through LSU at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Fred also became a Board Certified Dermatologist. Later, the youngest
of his 3 sons, Robert J. Grieshaber, MD (Dr. Bob) followed in Dr. Fred’s footsteps and received his MD at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Bob completed his Internship and Dermatology Residency through LSU at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Bob is a Board Certified Dermatologist. In 1981, Dr. Bob and his wife Louise moved the practice to the Northshore. Dr. Bob and Louise had clinics in both Slidell and Covington when they started on the Northshore. Today, Grieshaber Dermatology is celebrating being in existence for over 60 years and serving the Covington area for over 30 years. Grieshaber Dermatology expanded into three generations when Dr. Bob's daughter, Emily Grieshaber, joined the practice in 2012. Dr. Emily received her MD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She then completed her Internship with Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital and The Colorado Health Foundation in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Emily completed her Dermatology Residency at LSU in New Orleans, where she served as Chief Resident of Dermatology. Dr. Emily is a Board Certified Dermatologist
