Antipsychotic medications are the cornerstone of treatment and remain the most effective intervention for reducing psychotic symptoms and preventing relapse. Yet medication alone is often insufficient. Psychotherapy, when integrated thoughtfully with biological treatment, can play an important role in relapse prevention and long-term recovery.
