Today, Ellen Templeton, Community Health Coordinator at the Health Department of Northwest Michigan (HDNW), spoke at the Ga***rd Area Chamber of Commerce's State of the Community event about Otsego County’s opioid settlement funds.

HDNW and Otsego County are working together to ensure the county’s settlement funds are invested thoughtfully to address local needs and make a meaningful difference for residents and families.

During the presentation, Ellen highlighted the county's projected $2.2 million in settlement funding over 18 years and the ongoing efforts to identify community needs and funding priorities.

These funds will build a stronger, healthier community by anchoring vital prevention, treatment, and recovery services.

HDNW’s water lab will be closed from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30. The lab will reopen on Nov. 2 and will be closed again from Nov. 4 through Nov. 6.

Normal water lab hours will resume on Nov. 9.
