Sometimes, I think we forget that storms can be masterpieces too.
Not because the storm itself is beautiful.
Not because the loss, confusion, heartache, or uncertainty feels beautiful while we’re standing in the middle of it.
But because of what God can create on the other side of it.
This past year brought some of the hardest and most transformative seasons of my life. There were things I had to let go of, things I had to face, things in my family that needed healing, and parts of myself that needed to grow.
For a while, Humming Hands had to take a backseat.
And honestly, that was hard.
Massage isn’t just a job to me. It never has been.
I’ve always felt that God gave me a very specific gift—the ability to help people feel safe, cared for, and more at home in their own bodies through the healing power of touch.
There is something incredibly sacred about being trusted with someone’s body.
Someone who is hurting.
Someone who is exhausted.
Someone carrying stress they can’t seem to put down.
Someone who just needs a quiet place to breathe.
I believe that gift was given to me for a reason.
And maybe I needed this season to understand that calling differently.
God doesn’t waste our storms.
Sometimes He uses them to redirect us.
Sometimes He uses them to grow us.
Sometimes He uses them to restore what we thought was lost.
And sometimes, when the storm finally passes, we look back and realize that He was creating something beautiful the entire time.
I’m in one of those places now.
My family is doing well. My marriage has been rebuilt in a way I am deeply grateful for. My children are growing into their own seasons of life. And for the first time in a while, I feel like I have the space to return to something that God placed on my heart years ago.
Humming Hands.
I’m coming back—not because everything is perfect, but because I’m finally in a place where I can give this work the time, energy, and heart it deserves.
And this time, Humming Hands is growing.
I’ll be reopening my home studio for local clients, AND I’ve secured a space in downtown Lafayette, Indiana, where I’ll be opening a second location beginning in November.
Two spaces.
One calling.
And a whole lot of gratitude.
I’ve reached out to those of you with packages etc, if I’ve missed someone, please message me ❤️
As I reopen locally, taking care of those commitments will be one of my first priorities. You’ll have the opportunity to get on my schedule before I open those appointments more broadly.
To everyone who gave me grace while life was happening, who checked on me, who supported my business even when I wasn’t actively working, or who simply waited patiently—
thank you.
I don’t take that for granted.
I don’t know exactly what God has planned for this next chapter.
But I know this:
He didn’t bring me through that storm just to leave me standing in the same place.
He brought me through it with more gratitude, more clarity, more compassion, and a deeper understanding of the gift He placed in my hands.
So I’m stepping back into my calling.
With open hands.
With a grateful heart.
And with a renewed purpose to serve people through the gift of healing touch.
Humming Hands is coming back. 🐝
And I truly believe the best chapters are the ones God writes after the storm.
