One thing that makes Baa-tanicals so special is that the goat milk in our soaps comes from goats we personally raise and milk here at Rector Valley Ranch 🤍

Not powdered goat milk ordered online. Not milk from a supplier I’ve never met. These are our girls.. the goats we care for every day, bottle feed babies from, milk in the early mornings, and love through every season of farm life. And honestly, you might be surprised how uncommon that really is.

There’s just something really meaningful to me about turning fresh milk from our own farm into small-batch soaps made by hand. From the barn… to soap… to your home.

I know there are many wonderful soap makers out there, but I do think there’s something extra special about truly knowing where your ingredients come from and being connected to every step of the process.

This business is built from a whole lot of hard work, love, and goats 🐐🤍

At Saturday’s market, a sweet customer pointed out that my only bar without goat milk… was labeled as “goat milk soap.” And of course it had to be the No-Nonsense Nanny keeping me humble!

Honestly though, it was such a kind reminder that behind Baa-tanicals is one very real human wearing all the hats. Between farm chores, milking goats, formulating, pouring, labeling, markets, website work, social media, and everything in between… sometimes things slip through the cracks.

Thankfully the ingredient list itself is correct, but the front label definitely got a little too copy-and-paste happy.

So thank you for the grace, the kindness, and for supporting a small business that’s built by real hands 🤍

One of my favorite parts of being in the market world is the connections you make along the way 🤍

Saturday was full of sweet conversations, new friendships, and getting to meet fellow makers who share the same love for goats, milk, and handcrafted products. There’s just something special about being surrounded by people who understand the heart behind what you do.

And after a long winter of talking about a collaboration, I finally got to share a market with this beautiful soul and her incredible fresh baked goods. I truly love the way God brings the right people into your life at just the right time.

And honestly… when they come bearing chocolate stuffed croissants and cinnamon rolls, I’m definitely not complaining 😅

This weekend at the Merry May Market was such a blessing. We’re so thankful for the beautiful weather, everyone who came out to shop small, and to Dull's Tree Farm for hosting such a wonderful event. There’s something so special about spending a spring weekend surrounded by good people, sunshine, and local businesses doing what they love.
