What the Summer Solstice Represents
The annual journey of the Earth around the Sun moves through four phases, marked by the two equinoxes and two solstices. The summer solstice lands in the second phase, following the spring equinox. If spring is the season of planting new seeds and taking action, summer is the season of patience and trust. The work has been done. Now comes the nourishing.
A Time of Nourishment and Growth
Always arriving at the start of Cancer season, the summer solstice carries a deeply nurturing energy. Cancer is the sign of the home, the heart, and emotional wisdom. The solstice asks you to turn inward and find the nourishment needed to let your spring intentions reach full bloom.
New beginnings naturally transition into uncertainty. The summer solstice reminds us that growth does not always look like forward motion. Sometimes it looks like stillness, like trusting the process, like showing up on the mat even when the path feels unclear.
