What an incredible day of service and community impact!

We Reign Sickle Cell Corporation was honored to participate in the City-Wide Back to School Giveaway on Saturday, where together we helped support more than 500 families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

We are grateful for every family that stopped by our table to learn more about sickle cell disease, advocacy, education, and the resources available throughout Northwest Florida. Events like these remind us of the power of community and the importance of ensuring that every child and family has access to support, information, and hope.

One of the most exciting outcomes from the event was connecting with individuals who share our passion for serving others. We are thrilled that 12 community members expressed interest in volunteering with We Reign Sickle Cell Corporation! Your willingness to give your time, talents, and heart to this mission means the world to us and will help us continue expanding our impact throughout the community.

Thank you to the organizers (Jeffrey and Felicia Scaife, Quanda Pace and Tashara Dimmers), sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who made this event such a success. Together, we are raising awareness, building stronger communities, and creating brighter futures for children and families affected by sickle cell disease.

We look forward to welcoming our new volunteers and continuing the work of educating, advocating, and empowering sickle cell warriors and their families.

❤️ **A Heartfelt Thank You** ❤️

Last night, We Reign Sickle Cell Corporation had the privilege of hosting **IRON REIGN: Turning Knowledge Into Power** in partnership with Chiesi Rare Diseases.

To the community members who attended in person—THANK YOU. You chose to spend your Friday evening investing in knowledge that has the power to save lives. Your presence mattered more than you know. We also want to recognize 1216 North owner Tommy Gunn for donating the space for us to meet and have this important discussion. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the delicious food and the ambience.

A very special thank you to our Chiesi Rare Diseases representatives, who traveled from Delaware and Massachusetts to be with us face-to-face. Your willingness to travel across the country to educate our community speaks volumes about your commitment to improving the lives of people living with sickle cell disease. We are truly grateful.

We also want to recognize Lodie Karen Hennessy and Kemba Olabisi Gosier for joining us virtually. Thank you for taking an hour out of your Friday night to support this important conversation. Your time, encouragement, and dedication mean so much to us.

Iron overload may not sound like the most exciting topic, but we learned that it can be a **silent threat** for many people living with sickle cell disease—especially those who receive chronic blood transfusions. Conversations like these matter because awareness leads to earlier discussions with healthcare providers and more informed decisions about long-term health.

People often measure success by the size of the crowd. At We Reign, we measure success by the lives we touch. Even if one person leaves with information that changes the course of their health journey, the evening was worth it.

Our mission isn't about filling rooms—it's about filling gaps in knowledge. We are here to honor the warriors we've lost by continuing to educate, advocate, and support those who are still fighting. Though they may no longer be with us in physical form, their legacy lives on every time we share information, encourage someone to get involved, or help a neighbor better understand sickle cell disease.

If you weren't able to attend and would like to participate in an **IRON REIGN** educational session, let us know. We'd be happy to offer this program virtually again—and again—until this life-saving message reaches everyone who needs it.
