We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for Lunch & Learn to Love Yourself this past Saturday, March 7, at the Home2 Suites Innovation Room in the Freedom Tech Center. ๐Ÿ’œ

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing board members De'Carlo Garcia , Wanjiku Jackson , and Katrina Kat Kirby for executing such a wonderful event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Your dedication to the mission of We Reign Sickle Cell Corporation truly shows.

Special recognition goes to Allison Morris , who worked tirelessly behind the scenes organizing this event while in the hospital caring for her warrior. This is exactly what our organization represents โ€” continuing the mission, supporting one another, and pushing forward despite the real-life challenges that come with sickle cell and caregiving. Your strength and commitment are inspiring.

We were honored to have our main guest speaker Mia Robinson with Novo Nordisk, who traveled all the way from Atlanta to share powerful insights and resources with our community. Thank you for your continued dedication to sickle cell warriors and for helping us understand what โ€œMental Health in Motionโ€ truly looks like.

A special thank you as well to our incredible guest speakers with a purpose, Danielle Zion Gadsden and Sabrina Bivins, for sharing firsthand perspectives as warriors and healthcare professionals in mental health. Your transparency, knowledge, and encouragement meant so much to everyone in attendance.

And of course, we canโ€™t forget the amazing lunch catered by Heavenly Croissants located off Beal Parkway in Fort Walton Beach โ€” the food was absolutely excellent! ๐Ÿฅ

Finally, to each and every person who RSVPโ€™d and attended โ€” whether you came for the information, the community, or even just the food โ€” we are grateful that you showed up. Your presence helps strengthen our community and reminds us why this work matters. Thank you Elesia Higgins for grabbing these snapshots during the event for us and assisting with the photography!!!

Together, we continue to raise awareness, support warriors, and build a stronger community. ๐Ÿ’œ

Today was one for the books! Mission Alpha hosted a great event today at the Rigdon Center in FWB.

We participated in the Northwest Florida Expo for Disabilities and Exceptional Needs (EDEN). This event is organized and hosted by Mission Alpha Advocacy. A nonprofit with a mission to empower the military family with disabilities and special needs to advocate for world class healthcare and a high quality of life.

Partnering with other nonprofits in order to reach a greater audience is how it should be and it was an honor to be included in this initiative with our military families.

Shout out to board members De'Carlo Garcia and Kat Kirby for attending and representing ๐Ÿ™Œ
