Today we want to celebrate an incredible milestone 40 years of service by our very own Tina Freeland.
For four decades, Tina has been so much more than a pharmacy technician. She has been a steady presence, a trusted friend, and a familiar face to generations of families who have walked through the doors of Thomas Drugs. Her dedication, loyalty, and genuine compassion have touched countless lives in our community.
Forty years is more than a number. It’s thousands of prescriptions filled with care, countless conversations that brought comfort, and an unwavering commitment to serving others with excellence. Through busy days, changing times, and every season in between, Tina has remained faithful to the people she serves.
Tina, thank you for the heart you bring to Thomas Drugs every single day. Your work has made a lasting impact on our pharmacy, our customers, and our community. We are grateful for your remarkable 40 years of service and are honored to celebrate this milestone with you.

Happy Birthday to the one and only Hannah-Mae! 🎉
If you’ve ever called, stopped by, or spent more than five minutes at Thomas Drugs, you’ve probably experienced Hannah’s quick wit, caring nature, and incredible ability to keep this place running.
She’s keeps us all organized, and solves problems before the rest of us even realize there is one. Simply put, without Hannah, Thomas Drugs would probably just be a group of us standing around wondering what to do next. 😅
She’s a huge part of what makes Thomas Drugs feel like home, and we’re so thankful for everything she does and for the joy she brings to our team and customers every day.

We’ve heard the reports of a bear visiting Cross Plains, and we’re pleased to announce he apparently made one more stop…
Thomas Drugs!
Our furry guest was greeted with small-town hospitality and, according to our highly unreliable sources:
🥤 Enjoyed one of our famous milkshakes�💙 Received lots of love and fellowship�📸 Posed for exactly zero selfies (he values his privacy!)�🐾 Wandered off happy, full, and with excellent things to say about Cross Plains.

Before anyone calls the game warden… this post is 100% for fun. No bear visited Thomas Drugs, no wildlife was handled, fed, vaccinated, treated, or encouraged to approach our business. We always encourage everyone to admire wildlife from a safe distance, never approach or feed wild animals, and follow the guidance of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and local authorities.
We hope everyone stays safe—and if you’re looking for a legendary milkshake, you don’t have to be a bear to stop by! 🍦

A true friend, steadfast supporter, and faithful follower of Christ. We grieve alongside this wonderful family and pray that God’s peace, comfort, and strength surround them in the days ahead.

Today, Cross Plains lost a true friend, ambassador, and champion of our community.

Bill Cody touched countless lives through his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of the people and places he loved. Whether on the airwaves or in person, Bill had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. His love for our town, our traditions, and the people of this community will leave a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the City of Cross Plains, we extend our deepest condolences to Bill’s family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. We ask everyone to keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Bill Cody will be greatly missed, but his impact on Cross Plains and beyond will live on for generations.
