🌩️ STORM SAFETY REMINDER FROM WHITE OAK HOME CARE 🌩️
Indiana has been through some very serious storms lately. From destructive winds and flooding to downed trees, power lines and extended power outages, our communities have seen firsthand how quickly severe weather can change everything. ❤️
At White Oak Home Care, we’re especially thinking about our seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who may need extra assistance during severe weather.
🌧️ A few important storm-safety reminders:
🔦 Keep flashlights, batteries, medications and important phone numbers somewhere easy to reach.
📱 Keep your cell phone charged whenever severe weather is expected.
💊 Make sure you have enough essential medications and medical supplies on hand.
🏠 Know the safest place in your home to shelter during a tornado warning — preferably a basement or small interior room away from windows.
⚡ Never use a generator indoors, in a garage, or near windows or doors. Carbon monoxide can be deadly.
🌳 Stay away from downed power lines and assume they are energized.
🚗 Avoid driving through flooded roads or around downed trees and power lines.
❤️ Most importantly, check on your loved ones and neighbors. Older adults and those living alone may need help preparing, getting to a safe location, or managing an extended power outage.
Our caregivers are more than helping hands — they’re another layer of support for the people who depend on us.
From our White Oak family to yours, please stay safe, stay informed and look out for one another. 🇺🇸🤍
