Clients often ask this because they know our ABC midwives provide holistic care that is more personalized than what you find in mainstream, hospital-based obstetrics practices.⁠ But midwives and doulas have vastly different roles.⁠

We highly recommended all clients hire a doula to provide continuous, non-clinical labor support, like verbal encouragement or physical comfort measures.

At ABC, we love doulas and value the relationship between midwives and doulas. One cannot replace the other!⁠
