I was delighted to have finally taken three generations of the Williams family on a successful walleye fishing trip on Sunday evening, achieving a boat limit after three previous attempts were cancelled due to bad weather. The fishing conditions and experience were outstanding, and the cooler was filled in several hours. If you're interested in experiencing the walleye capital of the world, I encourage you to contact me to arrange an opportunity.

On Sunday morning, Jeff and his four grandchildren joined me for their first walleye fishing excursion on Lake Erie. Upon setting our lines, they asked when they could expect to catch their first fish. I estimated it would take roughly 15 minutes. The first fish bit just two minutes later, even before the second rod was set. This rapid pace continued throughout the morning, resulting in a successful outing with the customers reaching their limit and the captain landing three fish. The walleye fishing right now is truly outstanding.

The evening trip was just as good as the morning trip. Adam was visiting his father-in-law in Kentucky all the way from North Carolina when they decided to make a jaunt up to Lake Erie for what turned out to be an exceptional day of fishing. With the lake still glass flat we filled the cooler in no time, holding back a couple to search for some trophy-sized walleye. After releasing another 20+ fish, they decided it was time to head in and get some dinner. We finished with another boat limit of 30 fish that weighed in at 75lbs. Don’t wait, give me a call or send me a message to secure your day on the lake.

These are the days you dream of, perfect weather and hungry fish. John and Casi were headed back to Wisconsin, coming from a music festival on the East Coast, when they decided to stop for some walleye fishing on Lake Erie. We had to cancel Thursday night due to high winds and waves. They opted to stay the night in town and try again in the morning. Everything worked out perfectly, and they got to experience why Lake Erie is called the Walleye Capital of the World. The lake was flat calm, and the fish were jumping in the boat. We caught our fish in about 2 hours and spent the next two hours looking for a big one, releasing another 20 fish before heading back to the dock. As a bonus, Casi caught a 28.5” Fish Ohio.

Today’s fishing was slow, but much better than yesterday. We finished with a boat limit, but the fish weren’t exactly jumping in the boat. Started with bottom bouncers on both sides, swapped one side to bandits, then eventually swapped both sides with Big Fish Tuff Tackle Co. Tru-Trips pulling spoons, which did the trick.

Safety is our top priority, which is why I voluntarily invited the U.S. Coast Guard to conduct a UPV inspection of my vessel last week. Having a second set of unbiased eyes helped ensure that all safety equipment, documentation, and the vessel itself met the highest standards.

Today was a humbling day, to say the least. The walleye wanted nothing to do with the lures I presented to them. Two days of a hard blow has them shutdown. We still managed to boat 9 fish today. Hopefully they strap the feed bags on for tomorrow. Bandits out fished the bottom bouncers today.

Mother Nature decided that I needed a day off today. We cancelled both our morning and afternoon trips due to excessive winds and waves. They were forecasting 5’+ waves this morning with things subsiding as the day goes on. I’ll be back at it tomorrow.

Zach, Anna, Gavin, and Kevin got it done again this morning. The weather was absolutely perfect and the fish were hungry! Captain Dustin got a nice pic of us at work trying to keep the lines in the water. Al Szuch Live Bait made quick work of cutting the fish, and got them on their way back home with a cooler full of filets.
