Today, we are sharing an important update about Klein’s Pharmacy and our continued commitment to serving the Cuyahoga Falls community. Klein’s Pharmacy, located at 2015 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, has reached an agreement to transfer our retail prescription files to Walgreens.
As Klein’s Pharmacy has served Cuyahoga Falls and the surrounding area since 1966, this was not an easy decision to make. However, changes in the pharmacy industry and declining reimbursement from Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) have made the traditional retail pharmacy unstainable. It has been an honor to be your pharmacy, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years.
Please note that Klein’s Custom Compounding and Klein’s AssureMed Solutions will remain open. This transition only impacts patients who have retail prescriptions filled at our Cuyahoga Falls location.
We will continue to serve patients who receive custom compounded prescriptions at Klein’s Pharmacy or adherence packaged medication prescription services from Klein’s AssureMed Solutions. We will also continue to perform vaccination services for local schools, senior living facilities, and other local businesses. These services will continue without interruption, and your prescriptions will continue to be filled as normal.
For those patients who do receive retail prescriptions from Klein’s Pharmacy from our Cuyahoga Falls location, your prescription information has been transferred to Walgreens at 2645 State Road in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. You may reach Walgreens at 330-928-5444 for any assistance with refills, prescription questions, or any other information.
As difficult as this decision was to make, we are grateful to have served generations of families and look forward to continuing our mission to serve patients in Summit County.
