Caring for a spouse with dementia is a journey of profound love, but it also carries immense weight. For spouses acting as primary caregivers, even running a quick errand to Publix can bring constant worry about falls and safety.
Recently, Elaine stopped by our office just to share some feedback. Having spent 40 years in Human Resources, she knows firsthand what true professionalism, accountability, and compassion look like. Her husband, Morgan—a proud Vietnam veteran—is navigating vascular dementia. Finding the right in-home support hadn't been easy, until our CNA, Sheila Fuller, stepped through their door.
Morgan took to Sheila right away (Elaine noted with a smile, "When he picks on you, he likes you!"). But even more than their wonderful bond, Sheila gave Elaine the greatest gift a family caregiver can receive: complete peace of mind and a true caregiver reset.
Knowing Morgan is in capable, trustworthy hands means Elaine can take a breath, spend time with family, or pick up groceries without fear. In her words, having Sheila has been an answered prayer that helps fulfill her primary goal—keeping Morgan right where he belongs: safe at home.
