For 21 years, Gaylon Buivids has been a familiar and trusted face serving patients at Lake Martin Pharmacy and Lake Martin Community Hospital Pharmacy.

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Gaylon enjoys working alongside coworkers who come together as a team to ensure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. What she loves most about her role is building relationships with patients over the years and helping them navigate their healthcare needs with confidence.

One of the moments that reminds her why she does what she does is when patients take the time to say “thank you” and express their trust in her and the pharmacy team. Those simple words mean the world.

When she’s not at work, Gaylon enjoys spending time with family and friends. One word she uses to describe her Ivy Creek journey is Committed, a fitting description for someone who has dedicated more than two decades to caring for our community.

If you’re taking Pyridium® (phenazopyridine) to help relieve the burning, urgency, and discomfort associated with a UTI, don’t be alarmed if your urine turns a bright orange color.

🧡 Dana’s Tip: You may want to save your favorite white underwear for another day! Pyridium can discolor urine and may stain clothing.

The good news? This color change is completely normal and simply means the medication is doing its job to help relieve your symptoms while your antibiotic works to treat the infection.

At Lake Martin Pharmacy, we’re proud to have pharmacists who are passionate about serving our community. Today, we’re introducing Chris Pitchford, our part-time pharmacist!

Chris enjoys the teamwork and collaboration that make Lake Martin Pharmacy such a special place to work. What he loves most is helping patients with their healthcare needs and seeing the smiles on their faces when they’ve received the care and service they deserve.

When he’s not at the pharmacy, Chris enjoys spending time with family, traveling, boating on Lake Martin, and tackling home and yard projects.

Chris says one of the things he appreciates most about Ivy Creek is the opportunity to continue his pharmacy career while enjoying semi-retirement.
